Popular among hikers and ramblers, these lightweight, aluminium poles telescope into three sections. They are height adjustable between 80 and 156cm (31"-61"). The handle may be held in two different ways: held on the top in the manner of a walking stick, or grasped around the neck as with a hiking staff.
The cord wrist loop helps prevent accidental loss of the pole. The pole is fitted with a removable rubber ferrule over a metal spiked ferrule, so that the pole may be used on both hard and soft surfaces. Many walkers find that using one pole in each hand reduces the strain on the knee and ankle joints, especially if climbing over stiles or similar whilst carrying heavy rucksacks.
